Hot water leak.

It might be caused by the nasty plastic connector joining your red pipe to the calorific heater thing or a small hole in pipe at join. If so try cutting say centimetre off pipe and reconnecting to aforesaid nasty fitting or buy a new fitting. We also washed our bilges on our last boat a Bavaria caused by the connector.

Yep, not the same boat but had a few leak at the calorifier. Also have seen one where the hot feed came off a shower fitting.
s*it happens, as they say.....

My Jeanneau SO37 was used as a Sauna by the previous owner! I was alarmed to see steam rising from the bilge when we first acquired her. The 15 year old pressure release valve on the calorifier had failed allowing all the expansion water to flow into the sump.

Hot water pipe popped off our transom shower only a couple of weeks ago now. To start with we couldn't work out why the pump kept going and then we ran out of water. A quick check found hot water in the bilge and a red water pipe hanging down from behind the transom shower.

Unless he's done some modifications the SO37 only has a cold water feed at the transom.

I have had an assortment of fresh water leaks over the years, from failed PRVs to cracked accumulators. One hot water one was caused by the rubber hoses becoming hardened at the manifold and leaking where they were double clipped. Rather than replace the whole expensive piping I just replaced a couple of feet and joined them, thus creating four more possible points of leakage.

Aso had a split calorifier(C-warm) once and 2 instances of shower tap connectors splitting one hot one cold always on a weekend when everything is closed. Turn off pressure water pump and fill bottles orcontainers/ kettles from shore taps.

I had the hot feed pop off the calorifier and so the whole tank of water deposited in the bilge - handy for cleaning. My nightbour had a Princess 32 and built in the dashboard there was a red light which lit whenever the domestic pump operated. It seems to me to be a very sensible and convenient arrangement. I shall be fitting one this winter. And I shall fit a similar light showing if the auto bilge pump is operation. I want to link that to an event monitor so as to show when we are away. At the moment I cannot find a neat event counter.

It is obvious to all on board when our FW pump operates. One guest even took it upon himself to switch off the pump when he slept in our aft cabin in case it purred during the night. In practice, it’s not that noisy, but I might overlook it if the engine were running.

Ours is much less noticeable after we fitted a 2 litre expansion tank after the high capacity pump, minor water use doesn't even turn the pump on until it feels it really must top up the pressure. me cleaning teeth doesn't turn it on, milady washing hands however at full on does but temperature relief on calorifier at most does a little2 second or so run rarely audible even in quiet of night

Many thanks everyone, some useful ideas. I’m about to fill the FW tank now to get it to leak again. Hopefully from somewhere easy to spot and even easier to repair.Ever the optimist…

Quick update.
Many thanks!
Got a pro to look at it who recommended changing the calorifier Pressure Relief Valve, which also incorporates a temperature relief sensor (I didn't know that but your link shows it clearly. .
As the bilges were filling with hot water only after the engine had been running, this makes perfect sense so a new one`s being fitted.
