Hot Pack self heating meals...anyone here used them?

bang on wait till your diabetic then probs start , for heavens sake a wee cheep flat single burner ,2 ,3 mins a cheap tin of stew ,hot water from flask with any cheap instant mash plenty of butter, hot meal for 2or three, beans , peas ,optional .time 4mins cost 2£ or less. last resort porrige cost free, you dont have to eat all time ,unless you go to cinema. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
 
I was thinking more of a fine cut of stewing beef, marinaded for 2hrs in red wine, seared in garlick olive oil and the slow cooked untill tender with fresh onions, carrots, potatoes, bell peppers and any other veg to taste.

A portion set aside for the next morning, this would of course improve overnight.

Plus the added advantage of very little garbage to get rid or recycle.
