This isn't strictly boaty, but I know the forum will have a clever answer!

I got one of those no-kink expanding hoses recently and the inner part (the actual hose, if you like) has popped off the push-fit connector. As you can see, it and the outer cover should be held by a kind of crimped metal ring. There's not enough room under the connector cover for a jubilee clip or similar, so any suggestions as to how I can reattach it?

Ideas appreciated as always!

Ive got a hose like that and it has a slight weep halfway along its length. So far it hasn't burst ....
I was going to repair it by using a 1/2" barbed pipe connector with clips. If the end fitting breaks again I will use the barbed fitting to add an ordinary bit of hose and and a hose fitting.
So far I haven't had to try either of these repairs.
