Parked next door is nearly new 30ft Cougar Cat,a sort of fishing cat, the paint on the the SX outdrives is eroding away even though the boat has been hardly used because of ongoing trouble with the 2 x D6 engines.
Boat is ashore cos Volvo agent is coming down today from Essex to have a go at engines/outdrives again.This time one of the lumps is seriously down on revs and having exhausted all other possibilities ,they suspect outdrives may have different gear ratios?

If its got sx legs then they will be d3 engines not d6, a pair of d6 would reduce the internals to molten metal in no time!

The d3 engine range has had on going problems now for a long time.
Its time yanmar brought its own outdrive into the market they would knock volvo sideways.
