Hong Kong Sails

I know people have posted before regarding Hong Kong/China sails but my problem is slightly different.

I have a Jeanneau 43 so mast profile and sail size is fairly well known but I want to change to a fully battened main. The mast batten cars/assessories come out to about £1500 if bought in UK and about half that in USA.

I intended buying sail in UK and batten cars in USA during a holiday but wonder if anyone has bought the lot from Hong Kong/China. I expect total UK price to be £3k for a 43 so potential savings could be a lot?

Any experience out there?

Dont know about your requirements, but I had a Genoa made by HK this season, and am pleased with the service/delivery/quality etc, all at less than half the price quoted by a local sail maker, who has a big window through which he can see people comming.

I have been thinking about a new main, so could you tell us which supplier you used in Hong Kong.

I have bought a main, a roller genua and a spinnaker from Hong Kong Sailmaker.
The sails are superb quality and the service was excellent.
