Hii all I have a leaky petrol tap on my elderly genny . it was ok till it was serviced by a chap who said he knew all about these gennys but I'm sure he doesn't !! I understand that the fuel tank was remove to clean a bit of Gunge out . this included removing the hoses from the tap. I'm pretty sure these are put back wrong causing it to leak .Its similar to a jap motorcycle tank tap but it has Two connections on the back ,one is fuel from the tank (the tap in sited away from the tank) the other is a return to the top of the tank. There is a further two on the side of tap . One feeds the carb the other is just open ended leading to the base of the engine .Apart from the tap body leaking the open ended pipe leaks as well leading to me thinking that it has been assembled wrong . Is anyone familiar with these gennys and can advise the correct hose couplings or an address where I could buy new ?

regards

Terry

I have an EM1000 and on mine there are 2 drains pipes and the pipe from the tank via the tap.

Facing the carb air inlet the pipe from the tank is the lower one on the right hand side facing the carb air inlet.

The 2 vents one on the left side and the other on the right is higher than the fuel inlet.
