I've not used any where in Glasgow (despite living here) that supplies them, but I just got a Honda 10i today from http://www.justgenerators.co.uk/pages/Honda_Generators.htm, over night delivery which you might be able to get once you get here.

Costco sell a Honda generator in the south, must be one near you.

The Costco in Glasgow only has the 2KVA version at around £870+vat.
