My Honda EM1000F generator has stopped producing electrical power both AC and DC. I have checked all the CB's and wiring and no visible faults. The generator is a normal 3000 rpm single phase generator so no special electronics (inverter).

Does any one have a manual or circuit diagram or know where I can download one.

I found a diagram for an EM1600 but looks different to my EM1000

This YouTube channel might be useful, I've watched a few of his videos and he's very good at explaining as he goes.

can you spot the brand/model of the generator component? (not the engine!)
No idea what your device is, but there's inevitably a diesel (usually) motor mated to a generator.
Fe, on my Mase 8kW, motor is a yanmar 2GMF, and the 2pole generator (spinning at 3000rpm) is a Mecc Alte S.p.A MR2
if you figure out what yours is (should be a label riveted/glued on) you can search for that and see if it's indeed the exciter circuit, some capacitor, or whatever.

The above should be true if it's a bog standard, no fancy electronics device (and engine is running!)

cheers

V.

Vas in my case its either faulty diodes or more likely Loss of residual magnetism and the normal fix is to "flash the generator. I have tried this in the past with no fix, so I clearly did not flash it correctly or there is something else wrong

My engine is clearly Honda petrol and used to run OK, but it's the alternator and this generator is not a newer inverter generator
