Honda 8 hp Outboard - valuation?

Hi guys I've inherited a Honda 8hp Four Stroke Outboard, which I don't really have any use for so was planning to sell. Its a short shaft, and I think (from what I can find on the web) its about 8-10 years old. I've taken the cover off and she is immaculate inside, I'd be surprised if she has had more than 15hrs use. I've started her up as well, it runs fine and wasn't that difficult to start considering its been on its side for a while.

Does anybody have any idea what it is worth?

dont know about that but I have a long shaft version serial 1! and its never missed a beat for 12 years great engine
 
Thanks - I'm keen to avoid ebay because of the costs - dont mind it on smaller items but its harder to swallow 10% of big numbers!

I've spoken to a few friends - one thinks I might get as much as £750 come spring time! So if anybody is interested I'll take £600.... (sorry about the shameless plug!)
 
Don't dismiss eBay completely. A couple of years ago I sold a GRP tender. I advertised it on here at £ 150 and got no interest. I put it on eBay, and it went for £ 240. I was quite happy to pay the fees on a much higher price!
