In 2010 I bought two Holmatro self tailing 40ST winches, did the deal at the London boat show.

They have worked well until the stripper rings broke, but now Holmatro have ceased making marine winches, and have no spares available to support customers who had their products, contact with them gets nowhere, just sorry, we have the drawings for you to get some made!
They were plastic of some sort, had a quote from local engineers in aluminium of £65.00 each, anyone know of spares here in the UK.

I have now transfered this to the reader to reader forum for greater exposure, thank you Jeva for your advice would appreciate quite how 3D printing works.

There are companies around offering the service who would be able to advise you. 3D printing is the future, one day we'll all have one on the boat along side the power drill. There are plenty of sites on the web explaining how it works.
Good luck, if you go down this route, let us know how you get on.
