Great pics : looks like you had a fantastic week.

Recognised your boat name so must have passed somewhere between Sonning and Henley last week :-)

Looks like you had a great trip.

Any plans to take Jersey Girl tidal this year?

Keep saying I want to take it to central london (St Kat's), but as yet, not got round to it. Probably because, as yet (after 4 years) we haven't got bored of exploring and enjoying the non-tidal thames.

on a similar vein, have you ever considered bringing your boat down and trying the thames (maybe get it transported down for a week or 2 holiday). Having seen all your trip reports, I think you will like it - there are plenty of pubs and curry houses !

It is in the pipeline for some point in the nearish future (probably 2014/2015) to bring NC down to the Thames. We wont be cheating though and will be going by water!!

Make sure you plan plenty of time to explore the upper and beautiful reaches of our great river.

We plan to have three weeks off to do the trip, however we will probably weekend the boat down to the Thames leaving her at Lowestoft for a week and then somewhere a little closer the weekend after that. Same again for the return trip so that we have as much time as possible actually on the Thames in our three week holiday.

Lovely pics - thank you

Took me back to when we kept our first boat, a Hardy 18, at Caversham almost 20 years ago

Happy days:)
