Dear All,

Haven't said anything about this before because I wanted to wait until everything had been finalised but I have just purchased a one-bedroom property near Marbella in sunny Spain as an investment. The purchase was finally completed the other day so I thought I'd let you know in case you're interested in renting... it's available for weekends. Not far from golf courses for those who play ...and the marina.

Initially I will be handling the bookings myself, but hopefully I will find an agent in the area to manage the property. Weekends will cost approximately EUR100 (special friends and family rate) and EUR165 for a week, at least up until Spetember 30th 2004.

It's a one bed apartment on the first floor (no lift sorry) but has great sea views etc.

ahhh but how do you know that planning permission hasn't been granted for a multistorey right next door to it

The estate agent said that planning permission was very difficult to get in this particular resort. Apparently, the developer of my property had to make several "sympathetic" improvements in keeping with the surrounding area /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

My financial advisor said it looked like a good long term investment and recommended that I link the mortgage to my pension in order for me to benefit from property price increases /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
