The rumoured name change, I beg to report, is just that, a rumour :o

And the moral of the story is ..........

Ouch !!! Whats the story Dave ?

Original repair budget was too tight :o
When I did the job two years ago, I had to make do with whatever I could get hold of. Result is we stayed afloat for two years, but the water worked its way into the repair and wood rot spread into the hull, and the main beam, or spine of the boat. One big wave and the front would most likely fall off
This time round I've just got to do a better job of sealing it, just means yet another launch delay

Just as well ply glassed hulls are not too difficult to repair then.

At first glance I thought you were installing an anchor well thru' the hull.

Hope you have lots of epoxy lying around.

Good luck, it's always tragic to see a boat damaged that way.

looks like an opportunity to install a small bow thruster at the same time ?

Hope it goes well (I'm sure it will with your skills :D )

Told you that cardboard wouldn't work Dave.:D

Git :D

Well hopefully the repair work so far will prove to be better than last time :o
Hole is now an ex hole, with the first coating of two part epoxy over it, and a coating of two part epoxy resin will go over that before antifoul, though I think the barnacles may well have held the hull together a bit

suggest a poly tent Dave with a fan heater inside to speed / ensure cure time
