Holes Bay to Wareham, short but pleasant trip

Havn't used the camera much this year but took it along yesterday on this short trip to Wareham and thought I'd share.
So, warming up at our Berth at Davis Boatyard

before pootling past the new lifeboat factory which is being constructed,

whilst waiting for the new bridge to lift, we can usualty get under this one, but the tides were high today.

and then the old bridge:

Then up the Wareham River to the Quay:

Where we had lunch bought from the market.

A local resident enjoyed the opposite bank

Then back down the river:

Past the yacht club

The Redycliffe Farm Slipway

Ridge Wharf Marina

and back out to the upper reaches of the Harbour

Where the summer speed limit is lifted!!!

Past Moricorum quay

and back towards Brownsea Island

Thanks for that.. I did that trip many moons ago in our first little runabout..meandering up alongside the reeds on a warm afternoon, and a short snooze...and it is def on my list of places to go again.

The motor that was worked on has needed no attention at all, the other had to have some electric connections and an oil leak made good but thats all.
