Heat works for superglue, just avoid the fumes

I believe heat works with either, I guess I'd prefer whichever releases at a lower temperature.Use epoxy not superglue then separating the pieces will just involve some heat.
Also not completely certain what you are trying to achieve but if you are asking how to hold the above then you can stick carpet tape to your faceplate and press the item onto it using a spacer and a rotating centre in the tailstock.Thoughts?
