Hobbs and Linssen splashing out !

Hobbs are teaming up with Linssen and will be offering a brand new Linssen 34.9 Grand Sturdy for hire this coming season.
We have been exclusively appointed the first UK Partner of Linssen Boating Holidays, which has a fleet of 70 Motor Yachts worldwide but we will have the first one available in the UK; what better waterway to choose than The Royal River Thames, and its most famous riverside town – Henley.
Our brand new Linssen will arrive in Henley on Thames at the end of March 2013 and will be available for weekly Hires and will provide the hirer with unparalled luxury afloat.

Hire rates will range from £1500/week in early and late season to £2500/week at peak in July and August. Lets hope the weathers good !! :D

I hope they have some criteria for hiring otherwise I can see this beautiful boat getting trashed.

We have all seen some of the rental boats bouncing off lock walls!

Those are great boats. If we ever decide to get a bigger boat, we would love to buy the 30ft model.

All though not sure what condition their one would be in, after a year of hiring it out!

New boat retail around £215k so say residual value £150k after 12 months? that's around £65k capital investment and tax deductible plus overhead costs - not such a high risk if you look at it that way? Looks like its a joint venture with Linssen so they can cry on each others shoulders if it doesn't work out.

£2500 a week !!!

Glad I'm buying a touring caravan and selling the boat. Eight weeks at those prices and my van's paid for and I've got far more luxury than the Linsenn lol.

They had a big stand at Dusseldorf (Linssen hire) they are quite popular (well reasonably) popular over there for those that dont want to go up river in a converted soap dish..

Lets hope that the staycationers in the squeezed middle discover this.
After all if the boat will sleep six at a squeeze it works out cheaper than transporting you, your wife, the four kids,Kylie,Chardonny,Peregrine and Boris off for yet another dull holiday on Necker.
Will make a change to see a bit of class on the river as opposed to the usual tightwads nursing that small glass of Aldi cava on the poop deck while mulling over the stuff they bought in the Pound shop earlier in the day..
Might even be worth popping round this year myself as things are looking up !

Nothing wrong with Necker ...

....so almost certainly Hobbs are paying zero for the boats: I bet they keep the rental income as their compensation for promoting the boats and managing/maintaining the rental stock.

Either way: loverly boat! I could be very tempted to let SWMBO know what I have in mind for the summer break this year!!!

Dunno - it's not arriving until March. Do you think they might bring it on a lorry to get round the red boards?

Just want to put a note up at the lock , so it doesn't get let downstream by anyone.

Last thing we want is it turning up in Calais. Probably wont look like a hire boat I'm guessing
