Following on from my earlier post, I want to make it plain that the guys owned up at once to the damage to the boatyard - unfortunately no one told me!

Thanks, British Airways Speedbird sailing club for your honesty.

Hooray.

Some hope for me then, finding the bustard that rammed my car in the boat park last week?

I don't think any more interrogation is needed. A good result and glad it's getting sorted. Good for you.

And they let these guys fly passenger aircraft?

I saw the funniest thing the other day at Clackett lane services...Two cars reversing out and if it wasn't for me beebing they would have hit each other (well I felt I had to, I was in a good mood :) )....anyway one lets the other out and the other drives away...the 1st car then reversed out and was about to drive away until a couple of women waved at the driver making him stop and then told him his back door was wide open!

He thanks them, gets out, and he's in a pilots uniform!

Obviously if it wasn't for someone else pushing the planes back and making sure all the doors are closed, it would be lucky if the planes get off the ground!

Clearly he forgot to say " Cabin doors to automatic."

Good result, but Willie Walsh must be furious. He's already struggling to deal with a £400m loss at BA without his staff crashing yachts.

I had a friend who trained as a BA pilot at the old Hamble training school. Lovely feller, probably retired now. He wasn't Captain Birdseye, but he was Captain Codd (and his brother was known as Kipper..probably still is:D:D)
