these car drownings are so foreseeable. Why do insurance companies pay out for gross negligence ?

They're only foreseeable if you're a local. Many people make the mistake of assuming that Twickenham is non tidal. There are signs but they're not very prominent and the area is hardly bristling with them.

That was a couple of Sunday's ago, I was in the Barmy watching it all unfold ( again ...). Until Richmond Upon Thames Council improve the signage it will continue to happen. Although at 42 and a local I remember my dad showing me then at around 4 years old so nothing changes !
