Hello,

Some one told me on here that a high thrust prop for my yamaha 9.9 hp 4-stroke
would look like mickey mouse ears, is it possible to say if my prop is high thrust or not from the picture?

[image] http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/leighsutherland67/detail?.dir=5064&.dnm=9960.jpg [/image]

the numbers are illegible, but I'll take it to the local outboard shop if I'm asking too much from a photo only, but I'm also using this post as a test for trying to get photos to work!

Thanks

LEigh

that's what I tried to follow, but what is the variable for the actual url you want to use?

I deduce that you substitute the actual url for the word 'link'.
this works for
description = Only the url's description shows

but then if I want to show the picture the FAQ say's
[image] url [/image] = Shows the picture

but theres no variable 'link' here. I tried replacing 'url' with the url but it don't work, and it isn't consistent with above.

It's not very clear to me which is the actual syntax and which are the bits that you type in.

Also of course there is the high probability that I have missed something glaringly obvious!

that link works in my browser!

I'll try another though, this time without spaces:

So that's what it is.

No mention that the spaces given in the example in the FAQ shouldn't be there.

And the position in which you type/paste the url in is given as 'link' in most examples and the word 'url' must be left as is, but in the '[image] url [/image] = Shows the picture' example 'url' is where you type/paste the url in.

Shouldn't it read '[image]link[/image] = Shows the picture' and spaces that are important to be left out shouldn't be there?

Maybe I'm being pedantic (and probably wrong) but otherwise it doesn't make sense to someone like me who hasn't ever used suchlike before?

That link is probably already cached on your computer, which is why it will display if you try it, either that or you need to be logged in as the user to access it.

It's def a dead link from here.

From memory of my old Yam 9.9 I'd say that is the high thrust prop.

They come in 2 or 3 different pitches and can be aluminium or plastic.
