Was playing hide and seek with the kids yesterday, and decided to hide in the crew cabin with the youngest, in the dark so that the eldest wouldn't see the lights on. Closed the lid and SWMBO replaced the cushion and sat on top as part of the ploy, then I heard a wooshing noise and the cabin filled with thick caustic "smoke". Turns out one of us had managed to lean against the dry powder extinguisher in such a way as to knock the pin out and squeeze the trigger and empty the whole extinguisher. It's horrible stuff, immediately burns your eyes, gets on your chest, and makes any small cuts sting like hell. It took a few seconds of banging on the hatch for SWMBO to realise something was up and let us out, me sluttering and youngest crying, and then looked like the boat was on fire as white smoke billowed out of the cabin! It then took the rest of the afternoon to clean up :ambivalence:
