I have recently purchased my first boat which I believe is a “Shetland “.
Would anybody know which series though TIA

Not all Maylands. The Microplus doesn't. Apart from the beam cabin windows I'd have said Microplus 501 Explorer

Nearly bought one as our first boat but someone beat me to it
Does it not have a makers plate hidden away somewhere?
 
I stand corrected. I thought they were. My bad. I know it's not a Microplus, it's what it reminds me most of one
 
There were literally hundreds of little yards churning out small GRP boats like this in the 70’s. Unless it is one of the common ones, you may struggle to get the true answer.
