Hi all. I'm a newbie here and really need some help with getting a workshop manual and wiring diagram as well as a parts distributor for a KUBOTA DM12 here in the UK(South west). Its a 12hp 2cyl marine diesel. Ive been through the forums and have PM'd some peeps,to no avail. Please can anyone help?

Is it possible that you are being unsuccessful because the engine as installed in the boat is not a Kubota?

As I understand it Kubota make industrial engines that are adapted for marine use by people like Beta, Vetus, Nanni, Sole etc.

So the block might be Kubota but the service and repair info might be for Beta or other mariniser.

As to wiring diagram, am I being too naive in thinking that the engine electrics should be pretty simple - starter, solenoid, fuel cut off, possibly fuel pump? Other electrics would be part of the boat, so pretty individual and not fully documented in a manual as would be the case for car.

Something on Google implied that was the same as the Kubota ZL600 for which parts are here. Might be worth asking them. Oops sorry a USA site.

Try www.marinedieseldirect.com for engine parts views. Sorry, a US distributor, but with great technical information. Wait, nothing to be sorry about...if the information fits, what the heck, the engine doesn't have an accent. And if you try the Kubota website, I'm sure they'll help you out.

Blimey, that's a bit sharp. You PM'd me yesterday 2.5 hours before you posted here. I replied this morning when I first saw your PM!
The engine is a Kubota base but marinised by Hydromarine and called the DM12. Hydromarine are, sadly, no more.

All marinizing does is slap a heat exchanger and a raw water pump on a tractor motor. Same engines.
