HFL 6Kw generator handbook

I am purchasing a boat with a circa 1995 HFL generator on board. I can't find much info out there. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the handbook (electronic or physical) of something in that era? Contemplating a UPS/charger and looking to see if it can be started by the UPS in a failover situation.

Got plenty on smaller 4 kva units most of which are generics of the VTE / Paguro. Is this a Farymann single cylinder diesel unit ?

If it is the boxed version, it might be the Mitsubishi. I had one for 6 years; very good and very quiet.

Why specifically a UPS ? Why not a dedicated spare battery such as an Optima RedTop, designed for starting engines ?
