Our club has fixed venues for club rallies on each Bank Holiday, but we are considering an alternative for our August BH venue.

Traditionally we visit Brightlingsea, and on that date we wish to stay within the area but perhaps there are other venues we could consider nearby?

How about Heybridge Basin for a gathering of, say, 20 boats and 40 diners- is the location suitable and could the YC there cope?

HBSA use the Old Ship pub as a club house!!

I would suggest speaking to Martyn the lock keeper 07712 079764 or 01621 853506 regarding space in canal, you will need to book early!!

Also probably speak to the Old Ship re dinning arrangements. They have an upstairs area that can be booked in addition to downstairs.

Or good weather wise the lock has bar-b-q area.
