Well, I for one have always been partial to Growler. Yes, I could definitely see myself slipping into that.......

Yep. It's Growler for me everytime, cliffdale. Although you'd best get mrs. cliffdale to clean it............ /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

My boat's on it's way to Scotland /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Who ever said that the two best times of owning a boat is when you buy it and when you sell it? Well, that's bollox! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Get out and buy another one, when you feel the Buzz
you will soon feel better, its like losing a beloved pet,
but when you get another one, all that suppressed
love will devoted to the new boat. Don't pine go out
and look at other boats, the buzz will kick in!!

Lovely looking boat...congrats!!

We delivered our new (to us) Targa (not quite the same vintage as yours) from Ipswich to Lowestoft last Saturday. Great day and very exciting to get our hands on the new toy, despite the grief it has caused us!

Lucky chappie, enjoy, enjoy.

As far as the new name goes, it's a bit like naming a new puppy or kitten...

How does it sound when you're calling it in at night ?

Likewise have you practiced, in the privacy of your own home of course, shouting mayday, mayday, mayday this ******, ******, ****** (fill in here) and spelling it out loud?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

On that basis I now must have a kennels! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I don't lack boating just the use of my own. I'm in fact out to play today - sorry, work on one today. I'm taking a new boater out on a run to Poole and back, the client is so excited he wants to start at 8.30. Nice little Merryfisher with a single diesel on a shaft. Tomorrow I'm teaching on a Maxim 240, Sunday off and then out boating again all next week. No, the decision to sell Solitaire was one of head not emotion - for once /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif A boat should be used, not left tied up against a lump of wood, she's gone to a good home with a family who are very excited about getting her and from my point of view she's left the Solent so I won't keep seeing her - oops, nearly said bumping into her /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Jez, the way things are going I'll have logged more hours on Whitelighter than you. Surrogate dad? Sweet!

Cliff, your boat looks great, enjoy her in a great boating area.

Don't forget you will have to be saying the name 3 times everytime you initiate a call on the VHF, so you will find shorter is better. Harlequin Princess seems to take an age to read out 3 times....

Let alone spell phonetically -

Hotel,Alpha,Romeo,Lima,Echo,Quebec,Uniform,India,November - Papa,Romeo,India,November,Charlie,Echo, Sierra,Sierra

Phew, almost as bad as a boat I saw with the name - "Our Souls" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
