The burgee is (temporarily) fixed with the aid of a cable tie. Good quality though these burgees may be, they don't seem to be very well attached to the bit of string that attaches them to the mast (lost burgee being a common problem among the coastal forumites I believe).

Was looking a bit red yesterday wasn't I? and it wasn't just due to the shock of you sneaking up on me in that electric thing...have tried to stay out of the sun a little today.

Thought it was you though but wasn't sure. If I'm thinking of the right boat, yours appeared to be bereft of a burgee also, when I passed it just before lunch (when we finally got underway!).

Thanks Mike but it is the forum burgee that is defective, the MDL one is still flying proudly from the bow. Having said that, it is looking very faded, perhaps I will pop into the office and collect a new one while handing in my booking form for the MDL Bray berth holders party.
