Hey bridge Basin Update

Was down at the Basin this week. This is a picture of the new gates at the canal end of the lock. They are still working on the seaward end.

I ws told yesterday that it will be back in commission on 1st April. Umm, good date?

There is a tale that the first time the gates were 3" short! Cos the diver measured wrong. Can't prove it was true but the gates had been finished in November so it took a while to set up.

The day before Tam took the image, they flooded the other side to test the water tightness.
