I understand from my man in Brighton that there is still a yacht-shaped hole in the water alongside Stingo's pontoon.

He was in Cherbourg last weekend ----- see elite pathfinder thread. He arrived as we were leaving. He had a girlfriend on board who seemed rather eager to leave the boat apparently.

It was a little rough crossing (1/4 sail and 9knts I believe) in a F7/8 Northerly.
