Here's an unpleasant question...

Just a quick final update on this - jfm was right (when is he not?) - it was the pump. Now replaced with a jabsco pump, all working as intended.

Cheers
Jimmy

regards sender still reading full when empty, this has happened to me
all is fill the tank with fresh water and then pump out, this has always cleared whatever was holding the float switch.

Will be watching this one with interest as the waste pump light has started flashing on ours even though it has only had about two wees in the toilet. Have left the pump out ruinning a while and it continues to flash green/red indicating over 80% full. But it can't be, unless it's not emptying.

Keeping a close eye on this thread.

We have had that problem on a couple of S37's. Usually it is caused by bits of toilet tissue getting stuck across the tank sensors, making a "connection" and fooling the warning lights that the tank is nearly full. Often filling the waste tank with fresh water (through the deck fitting), and emptying it again will clear the problem.

Will give that a go. Thanks. Got to be slightly less unpleasant that poking around through the in-tank fitting
