Yes, the jetstream has swung over Uk in the last fortnight, speeding up the lows and directing them over us. Should swing back north eventually....
Apparently if you're flying from US to Uk at the moment the trip is 1/2 an hour less!
Latest inspection through binoculars shows no damage and Fairwinds still in place on her mooring. Barely a gale now . . . if they would just hurry up and get the leccy back on it would be lovely, otherwise it's cheese sarnies for tea.

but I am sure Kilmelford would ring if there were problems... even if it was blowing like I have never known it to blow before Kilmelford is far more sheltered than Oban...
surprisingly my wood shed roof managed to more or less last the gale/hurricane and I think if some very poxy corrugated sheet metal could tough it out in a rather more exposed situ Claymore should be only slightly perturbed by the wee breeze..
