Here Is A \"Where Is It?\"

So: Where is it?

Re: Here Is A \"Where Is It?\"

The photo caption said, 'Moisture gathered in deep folds below the swell of gently rising hillocks,' and he posted it without looking at the picture....

Kirkstone Pass. It's not steep you wuss.
Looking down the valley with Stock Ghyll (the beck, not our cottage) in it from Broad End. The ribbon of road on the right is The Struggle.
The fell to the left is Wansfell and that to the right is Snarker Pike.
The glint of water is Waterhead and Pull Wyke Bay at the north end of Windermere

Steep enough to make the engine boil over in my decrepit Escort when I was a student carrying several climbers and gear one weekend. But then, said car also had trouble getting across from Keswick to Buttermere via Newlands valley on a good day.

Across the thousands of miles, and the decades of years - you bu33ers still draped the iconic crags with many yards of redundant string.

It took a specialist team, who knew what they were on about, to sort out the simplest of rock-routes onto paper. And - remove all the string.

But that's for a different forum. Let's leave these good peeps alone to their own concerns......

Dunno but the tide has gone out a bloody long way, I don't fancy pulling a dinghy back up
