Here come the boards

The year before last I set up a load of browser "favourites" which allowed me to see the river levels each side of most Thames locks, having been caught out in the Thames floods of 2007 these sites became invaluable in giving SWMBO confidence in going out when it's raining(!).

I now find that all the addresses are wrong and new sites need to be set up.

Anyone know of a quick way to do this, eg have they only changed the station numbers?

eg this is Cleeve:

I wouldn't say quick but I go to the
master map here, expand it and fiddle around until I find the particular location that I want.

The challenge is that the Thames is just another reporting point.

Yes, that's the way I did it before and it is such a pain hopping from one are to another to find the locks, because it isn't obvious. Whoever thought of using the Thames as a border!

Iffley to Marlow - all locks on Yellow-increasing

Marlow to Cookham - Red

Cookham to Teddington except Bell Weir to Penton - Yellow increasing

Eek!
I'm stuck in Penton Hook after last weekend and was planning on coming back to Bray this weekend. Think I'll chance so log as its not too windy (and only yellow, of course).

My view on these things is you make an assessment around your experience, your boat and the conditions prevailing at the time. Personally I am less worried by the colour of the boards shown at locks. And that is true even if there are no boards.

I'm not so keen on the Blue Boards :)
