I'm fitting a gas water heater to feed a shower, and would like the choice of feeding the shower from the calorifier, or from the gas water heater, but I dont want the gas water heater to feed the whole boats' hot water system.
The idea is to tee into the HEP20 pipe near the shower tap, and I could probably fit two ball valves, but this would mean that, if I left both open, the gas water heater could feed the whole system.
Is there a plumbing T or Y junction with a valve which will let water come from either source, but not both?
I can visualise a "flap" which can close either source, whilst leaving the other open. I guess this could also be done by twisting a valve with a 90 degree hole in it.
Hope this makes sense!
Many Thanks
Richard
