Are they as waterproof as ' proper' oilies? They look smart but feel a bit light weight for being out all day in filthy wet weather.

I'm also wondering how breathable they really are so comments from anyone who has a set would be much appreciated.

Ta!

I've had a Blue Eco shore jacket for a couple of years which I bought around the same time as a set of "normal" HL TP2 oilies. I have to say that I am a little disappointed with both the water resistance and the durability of the TP Eco fabric in comparison to the traditional product. Despite treating them both the same and following all care instructions to the letter, the Blue Eco fabric has worn through on the cuffs and is looking very tired in places, it also gets waterlogged quite quickly instead of shedding water like the oilies do They have both had a similar amount of wear. Probably an ideal back to back comparison I guess.

Just one person's experience but hope this helps.

It does help, thanks! It's kind of what I was thinking, it is good looking kit but probably more going to the pub type of gear.
