Henley Women\'s Regatta

We are doing a river trip for both sets of parents in June and have noticed that is clashes with the Henley woman's regatta. We were hoping to moor up in Fawley meadow, so they can stay close by in a B & B - Does anyone know if fawley meadow will be out of bounds for mooring as it is in the main regatta, or do they just use the opposite side of the river for any marquees?

What date?

End of June will be unlikely and may be full of tents but who knows in this climate!

Traditionally there have been a few on this site but not as many as years back

Re: Henley Women\'s Regatta

I think you will be ok on Fawley Meadow, they don't normally put their prices up until the main Ragatta week and carry them through to the Music Festival, ie two weeks.
The Women's Regatta finish is opposite Fawley Meadow, just short of the main Regatta finish line I think, actually at the Remenham Club by the looks of it.

Darren, I'm sure Debs, like me, much prefers the mens rowing - especially the 8s. Eight young men in lycra - what more can a girl want!!!

Not a brain cell in sight then? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Rowers are cream of english society (rich and thick)

Re: Henley Women\'s Regatta

One of my favourite lines (many years ago) to a woman rower in the Angel during the regatta was that I was the owner of a race horse called "Hyundai" (because one drove past at the time) and it was 42 hands... she believed every word I said........not saying your statement is true but...
