Henley Royal Regatta: Saturday?

Anyone going to be there this Saturday? My son and his mates have coerced me (with very little effort required) to do run the gauntlet

I'm staying well away until Festival week. I must be getting old cos the idea of dodging shooting punts with candles for nav lights taking the central arch after the fireworks has lost it's appeal. Shame really as it's one of the biggest gatherings of the boating fraternity of the season.

Ah yes.......aiming at the punts; plenty of wash for the gobby ones; cant beat it. But I will be long gone before dark. Trundle up from Reading with picnic and drinks.....couple of runs up to Temple and back to Henley Bridge, then home.

I'll be there, but on Sunday. SWMBO has talked me into taking her parents this weekend as the last time they came with us, it rained. Can all get a bit hectic, so not my favourite trip, but good fun nevertheless.
