Just heard:
Henley Festival to Move Site in 2014
The Henley Festival is delighted to announce a move in 2014 along the river to Greenlands, the beautiful and historic home of Henley Business School. The Festival will continue to take place during the week following the Henley Royal Regatta.
The Festival has struggled to be viable on the existing Regatta site due to the high costs of staging the event in the Stewards Enclosure. The move will help us to realise our ambitions to more fully develop the work of the Henley Festival and the Henley Festival Trust and will also provide greater freedom to programme a wider range of floating stage concerts to include both popular and classical music. The Greenlands site itself is an enclosure of great natural beauty and lends itself perfectly to the presentation of an event as unique and magical as the Henley Festival.
We are confident our supporters will quickly fall in love with our new location, and would like to thank you for your continued support as well as looking forward to seeing you at Festival 2013 and beyond
Seems starnge since they make use of the Regatta erections, and a bit of a bummer for those who have enjoyed mooring on the booms over the years. The number of boats far outnumber those who anchor for the Rewind Festival so the EA will have a job on their hands next year!
