I often scrape off and antifoul within the tides. I have some Hempels classic that refers to 8 hours to touch dry and I am concerned that with only say 4 hours to wet that it will not cure/ ok. Has anyone experience of this antifoul done within the tide with no problems; it is early in the year so temps are not so high which does not help.

In previous years I used to do that between tides. Flag had the best immersion time - 6 hours. Most others then were 24hrs but more recently the immersion time has reduced. But I think Flag remained the shortest.

A lot of boats like mine (deep fin keel) only get max 10 minutes between the last coat of AF going on patches where the hull shore supports have been and immersion - ie patches painted during the 15 minutes in the Travelift. It never seems to have been a problem. Also I've painted the hull pad patches whilst pouring with rain and hence onto a wet surface. Still seemed to work, the AF seems to displace the water and still stick on. This is using Seajet or Micron AF, doubt if your Flag stuff is much different.

Drying / overcoating data
Temperature Dry to launch
5 °C 24 hours
10 °C 18 hours
20 °C 12 hours
30 °C 10 hours

Flag are no longer quoting a 'dry to launch' time, only a drying time of 6 hours.

The OP just wanted to know! Of course it is entirely a matter of choice to ignore the manufacturers' data. I did once break my schedule and didn't get the 6 hours. This on Hempel's which wanted more. I had fouling after 2 weeks.

Hi co8, i've been using hemel classic antifouling for quite a few years now. The last time was 2 years ago at the slip at Haldon pier, Torquay. I did the antifouling ( 2 coats ) between tides. My boat is just under 22 feet long with a full long keel. The antifoul adhered well, i scrub the bottom by brush every so often and the bottom is still clean. I hope this gives you some encouregment. Best regards, Oz.
