the zip on me shorty wetsuit is stuck
i have soaked it in boiling water even sprayed WD 40
i am doing my dinghy instructor course this weekend in a freezing lake in staffs

been to local swindlery and they want 200 quid forra full drysuit
i am buying a gill breathable top with dry suit neck and wrist seals to wear over the wetsuit and leave only me legs exposed. ( hoping to distract female instructor)
immersion is compulsory apprently on this course
without the wetsuit i'll freeze

I have had this problem with my wet suit boots. I too used WD40 and water. Best bet is perseverence. Get a good grip on the zip with pliers and be modestly robust. Wiggle it about. Hopefully it will with time suddenly budge, one of lifes most satisfying moments. I have broken off the zipper tab but replaced it with a key ring ring.

sympathise with your problem - my fouly trousers have the same problem. I should know better as I always make a point of rubbing beeswax on my drysuit zip!!!!

Have to confess to being thrown by the same line.
I thought it was that sweet young thing Mrs Sailbad - fresh young bride of old smellyfeet - and had that been the case - i'd have probably set up an account at Mailspeed for you to just go and get what you need - however - distracting female instructor.....?

Re: sorry

Sailbad - you're a sneaky wee divil and no mistake - trying to catch us out there you bad rascal.
Anyway - this is married life for you my old son - in those carefree bachelor days this post wouldn't have existed - you'd have nipped out and bought yourself a new 2 piece top of the shop Musto breathable dry suit.
Where are you doing your Instructors then?
