I'm calculating on 70nm to be safe.

If it's looking to nasty at St Albans we're planning on turning round & overnighting in poole

If you take the Needles channel see how it is at the Bridge. If its grotty there forget St Albans, just turn up 20 degrees to Poole instead.

Yes planning on taking needles channel. Thanks for the heads up. It'll certainly save us turning around

Update, I'm pleased to say we made the journey today without any issues

The sea was quite rough in places and visibility was poor but nevertheless we soldiered on and completed the journey in 6 hours. The boat felt really sure-footed and definitely a big confidence boost for me

So she's now in her new home in Weymouth and I can start cleaning and adding extras I want etc ☺
