I have a Quick 25 B3 calorifier. It worked fine, however I discovered the fresh water pump cycling intermediately.

I removed the element from the unit and dissevered a pin hole about a third of the way up the tube that holds the thermostat.

So questions.....

Can anyone let me know a good UK supplier of Quick parts?

Do i need to replace the heating element and the thermostat? or just the heating element?

I put the unit back on and it is now tripping out . I have left it well alone. Is this because the unit is still damp or wet, or does tinkering with these things knacker them.

Many thanks.

I'm not absolutely certain about the manufacturer but I have seen several calorifiers with burnt out elements due to galvanic corrosion. Replacement ones I have seen have an anode and possibly better materials selection. I would change the whole unit.

The whole element fitting unscrews, but be warned that the unscrewing is a VERY unpleasant task!
One of my customers needed to fit a 110V element, and the job required a 3' tommy bar and 3 strong men: 2 to hold the unit and a third to rotate the spanner (and the engineers!)
if you have a dud component, it is worthwhile checking all the rest of the system too.
