Help understanding boat electrics - 1991 Hunter Horizon 27

I think, as suggested above, that you are going to have to trace it through. The problem with Hunters (the British variety) is that most of them were effectively delivered "flat-pack" for the owner to assemble - if IKEA had made boats, they would have been Hunters. This gave the owner a great deal of scope to "do it his way" - some did it well and some less well! Add to that the age of the boat now and it will probably have undergone quite a few modifications.

Our first boat was a Hunter Ranger. That had a single round "1/2/both/off" switch at the top of the companionway steps - I was under the impression that that was pretty much the recommended Hunter solution.
