Hi,

I want to fix a problem with my Port fuel gauge that constantly reads full.

Can anyone tell me where on the Port tank the sender is fitted and if possible its type?

Not yet tried swapping the gauges, I wanted to check the resistance across the sender first.

2001 Sealine F43 with Volvo TAMD63's and VDO gauges!

Many thanks

access to the sender is under a lift out panel on the port side - you may need to move a chair something depending on your interior

OK, that makes sense. I will move the port saloon seat to see if I can find the panel you are referring to thereunder, thanks for taking the time to reply.

Well I removed the seat but could not find a panel that could be lifted! Anyone know where the fuel tank sender is located? Swapped the gauges and they are both working so need to get to the sender - any help appreciated!

Hi
ours was under the double pull out seat, have you tried looking under the carpet, there should be an inspection plate there to remove sender's,this is were I emptied and cleaned our tanks,

if you can look at tank top from inside the engine bay you can probably see where it is. Try peeling back the carpet a bit. Worst case you may need to jig saw an access hole.

The rafters and engine impede the line of site and I cannot even see where the cables run! dj43, can you recall if it was toward the fore, middle or aft end of the seat? I will then know where to start pulling up the carpet! I fear I may need to cut through the deck if I do not find it but don't want to hit anything below.......

Unable to recall position in relation to seat, sender was in middle of tank, can you measure tank and then work out center, port tank if I recall supply pipe is on the front right hand corner, vent pipe is next to this, and run,s across the top, back to side of boat, flow and return fuel pipes are also each end, these should not cause a problem if you cut up the floor,I would drill a pilot hole first, hope this will help.
