help required - pontoons

we are thinking of installing some pontoons at our club, but there is considerable doubt as to whether this is practical, given that our moorings are in a reasonably fast flowing somewhat exposed tidal river estuary.
we would like to talk to other clubs who have installed pontoons in similar locations.

I used to be a member of Arun YC who have pontoon moorings on a very swift flowing river. Might be worth contacting them.

Royal Harwich at Woolverstone on the Orwell (Ipswich) have put some pontoons in over the last couple of years.

They are also next door to Woolverstone marina.

Whether the pontoons themselves are in a fast current I cannot say, but certainly the river 30 yards from them flows fast, and has fairly large commercial traffic up and down it.
