Hi all, really looking at some help please, I have just purchased through a broker a 2006 Bavaria match 35 for £55k , survey carried out noted overheating in engine, seller got engineer to visit failing water pump was replaced, sale went through.
On the delivery trip the engine was put on and run for 35-40 minutes stopped and failed to start.
Towed in to marina , independent Volvo engineer visited boat with me yesterday and engine has piston and cylinder damage and has been advised to be written off and new engine required.
What recourse have I got ?????? Broker sorry what can I do? Previous owner sorry to hear that, surveyor we noted engine overheated, did you get the work done, engine repairer we replaced a broken way pump which is still working.
£5k bill !!!!!!!! And I haven't even used it yet
