Help!! Racor 400 series filter problem

I have a Racor 400 series diesel spin on fuel filter/water seperator with a R45T filter.

The problem is the small by pass valve on the underside of the head has been damaged. I need a new one but Racor say 40 days delivery!! Trying to get a few more trips out of the season.

Does anyone have an old 400 series hanging about or have a valve. I will happily order a new valve and send on to replace.

Any help greatly appriciated. Such a pain that a tiny piece can cause so much trouble!!

is it a pre filter? if so why not just by pass it, until you are able to get the part.

How about bypassing it with a cheapo breaker's yard filter assembly?

It is the only filter in the system so rather it sat there than risk bu**ering things up!!

Looked and both the retials mentioned and still 4 weeks to get the part as they only stock in the US.
