I'm in need of some advice! We have a boat with a pair of D6 350's and somehow the trim gauges have gone out of Sync. The port drive trimmed all the way in goes to -9 on the gauge and the starboard only -5.
This is a recent change and has only come about after the boat was lifted for the gear selector to be changed, the standard d6 actuator issues, this forum was extremely helpful in the diagnosis of that problem.
I have downloaded the PDF that shows you how to calibrate the EVC C system but I'm worried about trying to calibrate the drive trim with boat in the water. My concern is that in calibration mode the drives won't stop until the hit the platform?
The calibration mode states that you have to trim the drives both up to their maximum and then trim back into their physical stop.
Has anyone had to do this or have my advice for me. The problem with the gauges being out of sync is if cause trimming the boat. The drives also have the tie bar and I'm worried about damaging this.
Any ideas ir advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you.
