HELP needed to identify shaft coupling

Don't recognise that particular one, but a Vetus bullflex would probably be a suitable replacement.

Any info gratefully received ... Its bust and i need to source spares , its got rubber mounts inside but the shaft is spinning and i need to strip it to find the problem ,ibold hedoniste circa 1978 - velvet drive gear box fitted

HELP
Hi, it looks similar but not exactly the same type as we have fitted, similar vintage. I doubt very much if spare parts will be available. As suggested a new one may be the best solution. Vetus and Centaflex http://www.tnorrismarine.co.uk/centaflex.php seem to be the best known at the moment.

Thanks for the link, it does look similar and not a unit I had seen when interogating google ,so very helpful

my problem is the shaft connection to the damper, I managed to split the damper but it doesnt expose any means of clamping the shaft to the flange, so unsure if its a key way thats sheared, a spline thats stripped or clamp bolts that are loose (PLEASE GOD)

I cant slide the shaft back as it hits the rudder and im worried about taking in more water than i can handle if the shaft upsets the stern gland etc so darent get hard with it at present, (already taking slow trickle of water)

Im really hoping someone recognises the unit and has info on it or some wise old sage finds a PDF in the deepest darkest WWW recesses that shows a schematic of it.

mean while big ass pumps on standby in case the trickle becomes a stream
