Help needed ordering parts from Sweden-anyone over there at the moment?

A long shot I know, but I need help ordering a part from Sweden.

The part I need is the following:

The price is 275 SEK (about £24) but they want another 300 SEK for shipping to the UK (and possibly more if it goes through Customs, VAT, etc, etc)

Is there anyone who is in Sweden who I can have the cable sent to ( I will pay obviously) and can then possibly either bring it with them when they get to the UK and onward post, or could send direct to me from Sweden, as a gift, hopefully avoiding the Customs sides of things?

If anyone can offer any assistance I'd be grateful. I'm in no rush for the cable (as long as its the right one!) so it's no problem if it takes a month or two to arrange.

Can't help I'm afraid, but as Sweden is part of the EU there should be no VAT or customs duties to pay on goods bought there and sent to the UK. You do need to pay Swedish VAT, at 25%, when you buy it though.

Assuming the adapter you want is not heavy, I think your best bet is to try and convince the retailer to ship it as an ordinary letter.
Up to 500 gram should cost £6,50 to the UK.
As already mentioned there should be no duty or additional VAT within the EU.

Yes please if you can. I'm happy to purchase cable on website and pay, but would need an address within Sweden to have it delivered to.

And thanks to replies so far. Retailer will not ship for any other method than quoted.
Incidentally, the Servicecentre ( www.theservicecentre.eu) want £35 + VAT + £9.95 carriage for the same item (all in about £55) so I'm keen to see if I can get it from Sweden for about 1/2 the price!
