I have a Lister Stw3 engine and its over heated, waters getting to the engine but not out, Checked impeller seems ok, checked jabsco fine, and checked seacock .....Havent got a clue what it could be ??? any advice appriciated on boat now

Have you lost blades from the impellor recently and not found the missing blades when replacing the impellor? The missing blades could be a reason for the blockage.

Do you have an anti-syphon valve? Is it blocked?
Quick solution is to connect cooling water outlet directly to exhaust injection point negating anti-syphon valve.

When you put the cover on the sea water pump back on did you position it in the same orientation?
If not look at wear on inside of cover and put back in original orientation.

Not had boat long and havent a manule for it so could have trouble testing the anti-syphon valve.

We have a clear pipe going to ours so I can see if water is moving.
I would disconnect the sea water cooling pipe from the exhaust injection point and see if water flows out when you turn the engine. Don't run it for long.
If it does then as previously mentioned a blocked mixer elbow would be the next probable cause..

im trying to have a look at this exhaust elbow think it could be the cause, hard being single handed will let you know any advise welcomed thanks to the response so far
